What’s new

It is a programme launched by the Department of Health to provide dental services to persons with intellectual disability (PID) and/or with Autism Spectrum Disorder, who are 18 years or above.

The programme provides basic dental services to people diagnosed with dementia or parkinson to cultivate the habit of self-maintaining dental hygiene and maintain normal diet, physical and mental health.

The programme provides basic dental services to people with accessibility needs to improve oral health.

The Government launches the PDCC to guide adolescents  to foster long-term relationship with private dentists or dentists of NGOs by subsidising part of the cost of dental check-up, so as to promote their life-long habit of regular dental check-ups for prevention of dental diseases.

The Government programme aims to promote early identification and timely intervention of dental diseases among the underprivileged groups with financial difficulties through provision of subsidised services.
